Changes to bin collections this Christmas and NewYear

by Paul Saunders on 15 December, 2014

Residents in Cambridge are being urged to make sure their bins are put out on the right date to ensure collection.

Thursday collections on 25 December have been rescheduled for Saturday 20 December – five days early – while collections falling on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day will be carried out a day later than normal.

Friday collections falling on 26 December and 2 January are now scheduled for Saturday 27 December and Saturday 3 January respectively.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday collections remain the same as usual throughout the Christmas and New Year period.

With an increase in household waste during the festive period, residents are encouraged to recycle as much as possible using the blue bins or by visiting recycling points or centres for a wider range of materials.
