Keen cyclist Nichola Martin has laid out her positive vision for the Chisholm Trail cycle and pedestrian route along the rail line.

As well as providing a safe and direct route across the city, Nichola is pushing to ensure that the trail includes benches and trees to make it a pleasant green space for local residents. She is also keen to explore the possibilty of having cafes along the route.

Commenting on her vision, Nichola said: “We need to encourage wide use of the Chisholm Trail, and making it an attractive location will help that.
“The Trail must have trees, cafes and proper lighting, to ensure residents are safe and keen to return again and again.”
